Animals have souls… I have seen it in their eyes.
Ang Lee and Suraj Sharma after Suraj’s final shot on Life of Pi
Premier of “Life of Pi” in lifeboats “Tsimtsum”(the name of the ship that sinks in the movie) in Paris

saw Life of Pi with my folks this morning, cried headache-inducing tears, had a lot to think about but none of which that I can really talk about cuz it’s such a deeply personal movie imo
so I’m going to continue ruminating on this movie silently
while baking a pie
(blackberry sour cream pie, I made one yesterday, it was delicious)
and I’m gonna wait for my dad to come back from errands and laugh at me and then I’ll scowl at him cuz before we went to see it he kept telling my mom this movie is called “Apple Pie, where a young apple is stuck on a lifeboat with a tiger” and I told him that he’s not funny at all dad pls stop making lame jokes and here I am baking a pie after seeing Life of Pi
“Animals have souls — I can see it in their eyes.”
“The tiger is not your friend. When you look into its eyes, you see only your own emotions reflected back at you.”
