In any universe, this is the Best. News. Ever: Fringe has been renewed!
A Fox spokesperson confirms to TVLine that the acclaimed (yet ratings-challenged) drama will return for a fourth season next fall — and a full season (22 episodes!) at that.
The news was announced on Twitter this evening by executive producer J.H. Wyman. “Fringe was picked up,” he wrote. “Thanks Fringedom!”
The pickup comes despite last Friday’s episode hitting a series low 3.85 million viewers. Fox, however, points out that the show still ranks as Friday’s No. 1 series among adults 18-49.

aahhh are these available in Tiger *__*
I really am not upset or worried at all. We all knew Klaine was going to happen. And now that it has, I don’t think it makes it any less likely Kurtofsky will happen. In fact, I think it’s a good thing.
- First, I think that for Kurt to ever be able to see Karofsky in that way, he needs to be with someone else first. He needs that buffer in between. He needs to take time to figure out what he really wants, as well as to realize what he doesn’t want. I think Kurt has a fantasy of the ‘perfect’ boyfriend, what he thinks he wants, and he’s going to be chasing that until he experiences it. Regardless of if there was any actually sexual tension or chemistry between Kurt and Blaine over the season, we do know that Kurt has a huge crush on Blaine, and before Kurt is able to be in a stable relationship with anyone, the feelings needed to be addressed; Kurt’s crush needs to be permanently resolved. Really there’s only two ways to go about it: a relationship, or turn Blaine into the bad guy. Honestly, I’d rather him be in a relationship with Blaine, and eventually realize his feelings are platonic and it isn’t what he wants. It feels more organic for it to happen this way, it allows a great friendship to continue, and I think Kurt figuring this out on his own means more.

SOB I WOULD’VE LOVED KURTOFSKY TO BE ENDGAME but mostly now I’m just holding out for KAROFSKY GETTING SOME. I don’t even care who, honestly, I just want him to Get Some. In desperation I may make up a fictional Karofsky/some Warbler pairing and ship that. Cuz I’d hate to destroy a beautiful thing and Klaine is a beautiful thing that worked slowly and steadily to get where it is, and I just /can’t/ really want Kurtofsky anymore cuz any Kurtofsky that happens now will be on the basis of that failing and I don’t want to see it fail @__@ AHAHA SORRY FOR TL;DR
KAROFSKY GETTING SOME WOULD BE WONDERFUL. I just want good things for him. ;o; I like Klaine, but I kind of feel like (knowing how Glee USUALLY goes) their relationship is doomed to failure?! Or not failure, but some pretty major hiccups. I think the whole Klaine thing, right now, is being sort of idealized or something.
Maybe Kurt and Blaine will break up (temporarily!) and Karofsky will just be like OH BB HERE LET ME COMFORT YOU FROM MY CLOSET jhrkjewkr *terrible*
I DON’T MIND TL;DR! I like tl;dr :D
Yeah y’know, you’re right. Any ship on Glee that doesn’t get battered and buffeted by melodrama and the creators’ cruel whims is not a ship that would last. Klaine’s looking too rosy right now :/ It would be NICE for them to remain a happy, well-adjusted couple like Tike, but happy well-adjusted couples are only fit to fall into the background on this show I suppose. :| I guess that’s why I was really thrilled at the ideal of Blaichel. I almost didn’t want Klaine to sort of… “settle” for each other? I mean, that’s HARDLY SETTLING considering how amazing and overqualified for just “settling” both of them are, but there was room for Blaine to sexplore which would add a great layer to the show if it hadn’t simply been the creators going “lol j/k!” and trolling just to, idk create tension between Kurt and Rachel. (Not to mention I really didn’t appreciate Kurt in that episode. He was overbearing and even a bit manipulative. Blaine did put him in his place for the overbearing part, but it was distressing to see Kurt use the same twisty “I’m doing this for your own good” logic on Rachel as he did when they were still both vying for Finn’s attention.)
ANYWAY yeah it would’ve been nice if Klaine drew out even longer than it did so it’d be REALLY worth it and fulfilling in the end, if it were really to be endgame. The confession did feel a bit out of left field, and I definitely do NOT appreciate Blaine sort of strong-arming the council into choosing Kurt. Okay “strong-arm” is a very loaded and biased word but that’s what it felt like at the time - abuse of power. Would’ve seemed less so if Blaine had at least explained to the council why Kurt is qualified to be the other lead. Moreover when Blaine said “I just wanted an excuse to spend more time with you”, I was a little offended. Yes. You would help Kurt move up in the Warblers now that you’re romantically interested in him, and not before, even though Kurt’s always had more than enough talent and heart.
TBH I DON’T THINK I’D ACTUALLY MIND IF KAROFSKY WAS ONLY LIKE THE INTERIM/REBOUND even though it’s like unthinkably cruel of me to wish upon him such a fate - but only if something MORE comes out of it, like more depth to Dave’s character, maybe even a reversal of the purported “abusive relationship” Kurtofsky bashers keep going on about - what if Kurt was the one who was verbally abusive? He can be pretty damn condescending. And Dave might withdraw a bit at first, but then he would fight right back and there will be delicious conflict and friction and I don’t care how short it lasts, if anything at least Kurtofsky will be interesting.
GOD I NEED TO STOP TALKING
